Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas
My son, 18yrs, received his driver license a few days prior to being involved in an accident. He pulled out from a private drive & struck a vehicle which stopped short. At first he panicked & called me, (Mom) while he was turning around to go back. He returned to the accident site safely and arrived before the police officers were at the scene of the accident. He was subsequently arrested for Hit and Run and was taken to jail in Williamson County, Tx. At his arraignment the judge charged him only with 'Accident involving damage greater than $200' (I believe this is a Class B misdemeanor?). We posted a 75$ bond and he was released with a pending court date of Oct. 26.
We are concerned about any possible jail time and fines. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hire a lawyer in Williamson County, I believe Taylor...preferably a criminal lawyer as class B will be on his record. Based on the facts, a competent lawyer may get it dismissed or at least reduced..but your son does NOT need this on his record
