Can you subpoena a mortgage company for homeowners insurance information pertaining to a lawsuit?

If you are a party to a lawsuit, you can issue a subpoena for documents and/or testimony related to your lawsuit.

If you are just a person making a claim, without a lawsuit, you cannot issue a subpoena.
