Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas
Can I sue someone from another country? I was in a crash recently a person from Venezuela hit me with their car and did not have insurance on the vehicle that they were driving which was a borrowed vehicle. The repair costs are $1,400, but the person only wants to pay me $800 can I sue? The only thing I have is their phone number and a picture of their Venezuela drivers license

Yes, but it may not be cost effective. If you have collision insurance, then you should file a claim with your insurer. Was the borrowed vehicle insured? You should contact its owner and find out whether the vehicle had liability insurance. If so, then it should pay for your damage. Were you injured? If you were, then please contact me to discuss your claim.
