Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I want to Sue CPS

My 2 year old got out of the house accidently for 15 minutes. We have only lived her for 2 months. My neighbor took her in and hid her from us while we searched for her. She called CPS. We went through alot with that until we found out the lady who was holding our child was the sister of the CPs supervisor. I filed a complaint and the case was ruled out and dropped. Program Director came and made a formal apology and says an internal affairs investigation is being done because of my complaint. I am not satisfied. They have made my life hell for the past month. Just a week before they said I could not be left alone with my children and said I suffered from post partum depression. My youngest child is 2. My children have been upset and afraid of being snatched from home. If I had never found it they were sisters they would be taking my kids. Not to mention the neighbor is spreading confidential information told to her by her sister (CPS supervisor) around the neighborhood. The CPS worker who came to apologize Friday says he thinks it may have been racially motivated. We are a black family with 5 kids in an affuent Texas neighborhood. The neighbors thought we were drug dealers. I am a CT Tech and my husband works for the Sheriff Dept

Re: I want to Sue CPS

The CPS, being a governmental entity, will probably be protected by immunity for its actions.

Your case against your neighbor may be stronger. You should consider consulting with an attorney to see what sort of options you might have.
