Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas
Im being sued for 1 million dollars in a car accident.
had full coverage at time of accident
victim walked away from scene unhurt and her vehicle had less than 2-k in damage
this was a minor accident.
now this person is trying to sue?
my insurance says that I can hire an attorney if I want to?
Is this necessary?
do you think she can get over the 50-k liability from the policy?
She was not hurt.

the rules of lawsuit require a "maximum" amount of damages..Many times people are hurt that are not visible at the time..whiplash, internal injuries are not uncommon....but your insurance should provide you a lawyer who can advise of exposure in this case. If the injured person has a good lawyer, and if there are substantial injuries..he shoudl demand the policy limits and normally not seek your assets...It is always hard to judge
