Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I own a truck that endured Hurricane Ike. The truck suffered no water damage on the inside according to a mechanic that inspected it. To repair the truck, it only needed a 2 dollar lug that was replaced, now it's starting, and is running fine. But the insurance company considered it a TOTAL loss, so i am unable to re-register my vehicle. What can I do to redeem my vehicle?

If I am not mistaken you cannot resell the vehicle. I have had clients whose vehicles were declared total losses by the carriers but who were able to register their vehicles.
