Legal Question in Product Liability in Texas
car and couple
I bought a car and put it in my name and my girlfriends name. It was for her to use. We slit up and she would not pay the car notes. I told her I needed the car if she was not going to pay the notes on it. She laughed and kept the car. She had taken my key off my key ring so I did not have a key to it. I finally got another key made for it and took the car. She was not happy to say the least. I am paying for the car but her name is still on the papers. She will not sign anything to take her name off. All she wanted was for me to give her the things that were hers in it. I did so. What happens if I decide to trade or sell the car? Will I have to get her in on it or am I stuck with this car if she refuses to let it go?

Re: car and couple
You'll probably have to take her to court to get her name off the title. Otherwise, she will have to sign the title. I have done this before.
