Legal Question in Product Liability in Texas
I have a family member that works for the fire department. During a recent election for an upper fire department slot he witnessed one of the election official prematurely open the locked ballot box and go through the ballots. he couldnt tell exactly what he was doing, but once that individual noticed my family member watching him he declared that the ballots had been tampered with. My family member filed a complaint with his chief and was told that it didnt matter . A week later he was summoned to take a polygraph. The one and only question that was given to him is "who do you think was responsible for tampering with the ballots?" My family member refused to answer that because it was an opinion question and not a yes or no question. The polygraph worker then declared that my family member had failed the test and reported the results to the higher ups. He was then brought in front of the discipline board and asked to retire or be fired.

This is not a products liability claim.
Your family member needs to contact an employment law lawyer in the city he worked.
