Legal Question in Product Liability in Texas
property damage
My cell phone which was only about 6 months old, turned off and wouldn't come back on. In the course of trying to get it back on some silver metallic liquid began leaking out. The liquid came in contact with my new wedding ring and caused all the gold color to become silver and I can't wash it off. Motorola sent me a packing slip to send the phone to them for investigation--but I'm skeptical about releasing it until I know if any harm may come to us due to the exposure to this unknown chemical. They cannot tell me what it could be. What should I do??

Re: property damage
The evidence will be gone when you send the phone to them; so decide if you want to work with them or have an attorney deal with them and possibly litigate, if you have actual damages.
