This is not a product liability question. It is a tort (negligence) case. The question is whether the store was negligent in its handling of shopping carts and whether the customer (you) knew of the risk and assumed the risk. I doubt there is any liability on the part of the grocery/retail store, but you might repost your question under the legal category tort or negligence and see what response you get.
