Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Abstract judgemnet , timely defense
As fas as the absract judgement being valid for ten yrs. , unless renewed and filing a defense in a timely mannner..I only found out about this judgement , dated 1997,when I applied for a loan using the property as collateral.Please advise

Once the AJ has expired, the judgment holder has 6 months to renew. If you check the county record and it has not been timely renewed, the obligation is extinguished.
