Adding my husband to the deed for my house
I remarried almost four years ago. My husband has paid off my home mortgage and I want to add him as co-owner of the property. What do I need to do?

You can contact an attorney to draw up the appropriate documents deeding a part interest in the house to your husband. As of now, the house is your separate property even though your husband paid of part of the mortgage.

You need to have an attorney draw up a marital stipulating that the house is the "community property" of both you and your husband. Right now, the property is your "separate" property, and it will remain so unless the proper marital agreement is executed.
