Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

adverse possession

My father moved into his parents home when his father died in 1982. His mother died in 1985. My father lived in the home until he died in June 2007. I moved into the home when my father got sick in April 2007. Can I now claim adverse possession on his behalf or mine?
