Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

If my apartment lease states that there are to be no pit bulls and there are several in the complex, does that render my lease void? There were none at the time I signed my lease.

One of the problems might be the definition of "pit bull." There are very few "pure breed" dogs in America.

However: If the lease provides that there are to be no pit bulls, and the lessor is allowing them, then the lease has been breached. I would take photographs if I were you. I would also write a letter (PAPER letter, and keep a copy for yourself) to the landlord and ask him to take care of the problem. Then wait and see what happens.
