Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

My aunt died and willed her house to her daughter,which then died with no will.She has one son who does not seem to care that the house is going on the auction block for back taxes.Can I get the house.

You can buy the house from your aunt's-daughter's-son (assuming that he is in fact the rightful heir of the house). Or you can buy the home at the tax auction.

Your aunt's-daughter's-son may also be able to give up his right to inherit the house. If he wished to do this you should consult with an attorney.

Yes, we do cases like this all the time. You need to clear title from the aunt to the daughter (which may have been done already) and then from the daughter to the son. You then have the son transfer it to you. You will then pay the back taxes, and the land is yours. If everyone is cooperative, then you can accomplish this before the tax sale.
