Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
My ex was awarded our house in the divorce 3 years ago. I was never taken off the deed or the mortgage. The house is currently being sold. The ex signed over power of attorney and his father is taking all profits. He owes dept from the marriage and back child support? Can he do that or do I have any say?

Right now, as fast as you can, get a lawyer to cook up a Notice of Child Support lien for you. Record it at the County Clerk's office NOW. And mail a copy of it to the title company that's doing the closing on the house. You will get your back child support money out of the proceeds of the sale of the house.
