Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

I had a blank but signed check out on my teacher's desk. Dumb I know. It was stolen and later cashed by a check cashing store but with no other endorsement on it. Can I find a trail and catch whoever stole the check. Or is it technically a moot point since I had signed it?

It is not a moot point at all.

A signed blank check is a bearer's note (if the Pay to the Order of field is blank).

I suggest calling the police and filing a report. This will not be a priority case.

Good idea but the check cashing place should have had endorsement..and depending on tghe amount..could be held liable..how much was it?
