Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

I bought a house in march of 2008 when I bought it I was told that we had well water. Well today over a year later the water company came and shut our water off. I had no idea we had a water company when we bought the house they told us we ran off of the well and in the contract it states that we have a well. I also found out last week that our neighbors run off of our water as well. We talked with them and they were also told that they had a well now we do not know what to do. Do the people that we bought the house from have to fix the situation so that we run off of the well or is it to late for us to do anything about it?

You can file a lawsuit for breach of contract. You will have to hire an attorney and see if you can recover your attorneys fees. That is not always guaranteed, but could likely happen in this case. I don't know enough about it to say for sure. If this is issue is important, be prepared to pay $5K + in attorneys fees plus expenses. Might be cheaper to pay the water bill.
