Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

My boyfriend and recently split up. My question is, does he have any legal rights to sue me for the TV that he bought for me as a gift. When he bought it for me, he had his own place, but he chose to set it up at mine, because obviously it was a gift for me. He later moved in, and now he wants the TV back and is threatening to take me to court over it. By the way, he had several chances to take the TV if he really wanted it. I think he is just upset and wants to get to me. Does he a leg to stand on?

You should consider the TV to be yours. Your ex-boyfriend may sue you, but your testimony (to the effect that the TV was a gift) is good evidence, as is the fact that he could have taken it with him but didn't.
