Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

breech of contract

5 years ago I enterend into an agreement with my step mother and my father. to buy a home from them. A contract was drawn up and notarized. It states that after I pay the house off the deed will be placed in my name. I made payments on the home for 5 years, paid taxes, and recently I paid a lump sum of $15,000 to pay off the remaining balance. All payments were made to the bank where the loan was taken out, When the time came to title the house in my name my stepmom says she is not going to sign it over. What can I do? I have put everything in this house, I have proof of all payments and the lump sum payment. proof of the contract, i even hold the release of lein the from the bank I was making payments to. Can she take my home from me? Please I need advice.

Re: breech of contract

You can sue to enforce your contract and make her convey the home. You may even be able to recover your attorney's fees.
