Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
I brought a house 15 months ago with the understanding I was assuming the mortgage. The bank never approved the assumption. They said that is not their policy & they were never notified. So I am not on the mortgage note, the previous owners are. Even though the deed/title is in my name & I've been making the payments, can I walk away & not be held liable?
