Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
I'm trying to buy a mobile home here in Houston, Texas. I gave the individal that is selling it $500.00 (like earnest money) after doing so I was told that someone was infront of me for consideration but they have not put any money down. By putting money down isn't that a contract?? Should she have accepted my money knowing there was someone that she was already considering??

When you paid the $500, you got some kind of written contract (or earnest money agreement), didn't you? You need to read what it says, as it defines your rights.
