Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Buying house, not in our name

Our house is in my father-in-law's name and I need to know

what to do if he passes or if he wills the house to his

daughter. What shall I do? Do we have any legl rights? We

had a family feud about him having asset to this house.

Re: Buying house, not in our name

1. Take care of this problem while he lives.

2. If purchasing, a deed, note and deed of trust are the normal methods of selling property.

3. If a mortgage is on the property and there is a due on sale clause in the mortgage, contact a lawyer.
