Change to adjoining property floods mine property

The man who bought the land next to mine has covered up a drainage ditch that drained not only the back of my property but also his property behind me. Now my property is flooding. I have pics of the ditch as he had told my aunt before she passed away that he was going to do this. What can I do?

If he refuses to fix the problem he created, you can file a lawsuit for damages and to compel remediation of the problem. This is not simple to do, so hire an attorney. Your best bet is to get the attorney to write a good letter explaining the problem and your remedies and maybe Mr. Neighbor will fix the problem on his own.
