whats the best way to change the name on a property deed and how much does it cost?

The answer depends on the following:

1. Who is on title now?

2. Is there a lien or mortgage?

3. Is the person who is in title presently alive?

4. Is the person who is in title (or the recipient) receiving any government benefits? (i.e. Medicaid)?

In most cases, a deed will do the trick, but there are several other factors to consider.
