Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Civil Lawsuit Pending,How to stop Eviction on Contract for Deed

We have lawsuit pending due to contamination from gas well. We bought our land on a contract for deed. Due to excessive hospital and medical bills, we got severely behind on note. Although we have tried to work with person we are buying from, and want to pay off land after suit, we asked for him to wait. We go to court june 7, this year. They have filed eviction notice on us today. My question is, is there a motion we can file to hold them off until after the court?

Thank you for your time.

You can try to negotiate with the person to see if they will voluntarily stop the process. Otherwise you can attempt to get a restraining order, if you have good cause.
