Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

A credit card company filed a lein on my homestead which had nothing to do with the money they were owed, I have asked them to release the lein on my homestead only. Are they required to do so?

Yes, they are.

If they don't, you can sue them for clouding the title.
