Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

The deed to our house is listed in my name and I would like to add my wife's name to the deed. I have been told it is simple, just get the Quick Claim Form and file it at the court house. However, when I look at the text on the Quick Claim it appears to be giving ownership solely to the other person. What is the best way to go about adding my wife's name to the deed.

When dealing with something as large as a home, it pays to have it done properly. Don't do this yourself. A quitclaim is not appropriate. What you should do depends on whether or not the property is financed, how it is titled, etc. You can have a lawyer or title company do this the right way for a few hundred dollars.
