Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

deed

mysister purchased a home and paid it in full. the problem is that after 6 yrs after she never transfered the deed and now there is a brother of the person who sold her the house claiming he is also the owner. the deed is under the parents deceased name and in care of the person who sold her the house.the brother has changed the locks from her house and told a neighbor that they will sell her personal property in 10 days.

Your sister needs an attorney NOW. She will need to prove-up her interest and re-gain the property. Find a real estate attorney in her area ASAP!

Your sister is in a predicament. I would have to see the documents. If she bought the house with a warranty deed, then she can sue the seller for breach of the warranty. If she is a bona fide purchaser who did not have notice of the brother's interest, she can sue the brother for a wrongful lockout.
