Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
the deed on the property owned by my husband and i uses the word etux. what does this mean? We were later divorced when he dies and he had remarried. Does this mean this is his property and when he died this property goes to me or his new wife?

"et ux" is latin for "and wife" It's rather antiquated. As for who owns the property, you first look at the deed. You may have had a community property interest in the land. You should also look at the divorce decree, as it may also state who owns what.
