Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Deed of trust

I have just discovered that a home I sold in February lists me as the grantor and the buyers as the beneficiaries on the deed of trust. This deed was prepared by an attorney and handled by a real estate agent. What do I need to do?

Was an outside lender involved? If so, if you notify them, they will be sure to take care of it right away.

If this involves seller financing, then you'll want to contact the lawyer who prepared the deed of trust and alert him or her of the error. This definitely needs to be fixed, and I don't think you should be paying for it.
