Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Deeds with my name on them

I want to know if I have a right to land that has my name on the deeds. This land was my father's father land and everyone whom names appear on the deeds are dead except me, and my brother. The taxes are paid up as well.

In short, yes, you may have an interest in the property. This would depend on how the property was held, the rights of the decedents, wether they had wills, etc. I would have to do some title research to determine what rights you have. You would probably need corrective title work before you could dispose or mortgage the property.
