Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Deferred payments

My ex husband and I owned a house when we divorced. He then joined the military and ''deferred'' his half of the monthly mortgage. When the house sold, his mother who had a power of attorney did not bring the money for the payments he didn't make. Can I legally get money back from him because I made my half of the payment every month and $723.00 at the closing of the house? The total he didn't pay was $1,221.00. If I can get money back from him, how do I get in contact with a commanding officer to get him all the documents?

Re: Deferred payments

I would sue the mother, that had POA, in small

claims court. You would not need an Attorney for

this case.
