Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Disbursement of funds from sale of home after divorce

My divorce decree stated that our home was to be sold. There were debts to be paid and I was to receive $5,000 from the proceeds of the sale of the house. I signed a special warranty deed stating the consideration was pursuant to the divorce decree as required by the divorce decree. When the property was finally sold secretly by my ex, there was absolutely no funds disbursed to creditors or myself in accordance with the divorce decree. My question is this. What recourse do I have against the title company that closed the sale of the property.

Thank you

This is going to be a convoluted situation and your remedy is going to be fact specific. I would need to read your decree before I can tell you your rights. I also need to know if you were in title in the beginning, or if the property interest was awarded to you in the divorce.
