Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

divorce---home ownership

I have a friend that with his wife built a house on her dads land. A bank loaned money on just the house and not the land. On the tax roll it is taxed of just improvements. He is now getting a divorce and his wife told him to leave that he does not have any of the house. I say he has helped make the payments with a joint account and also paid property taxes. Please help. I think this was done this way on perpose so they could keep everything. What recourse does he have??? thank you

Keeping the house constitutes unjust enrichment. Contact an attorney to make a claim in the divorce proceedings.
