Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Entry into a dwelling without notification

I recently found out that the management company from whom I rent my apartment has sent maintenance men into my place without giving any notification, either before or after the fact. Apparently this has happened on at least two occasions that I have discovered, and the mgmt co. is not concerned. My lease specifically states that proper notice must be given upon entry into the dwelling, the only time they can come in without being requested is if they are checking smoke detectors (which they were) but they have to leave a note. If their service was requested, they still must leave a note. I feel violated and no longer secure in my place, and since they broke the law, I was wondering what action I should or can take against them? I would appreciate a reply soon as I am moving in a month.

Re: Entry into a dwelling without notification

Although you feel violated as you say, since you are moving within the month and this is a minor infraction, I would just move as scheduled.
