Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Filthy roommates/tenants
Okay, so I'm a young guy fortunate enough to be a home owner. I let two of my buddies rent out the two spare rooms in my house. One has been here a year and a half, the other just over a year. I could provide myriad personal reasons that I can't live with them anymore, but the environment in my house is borderline hostile. One of these guys is pretty large(and a power lifter.) And the other is just plain loonatic. All the tension in my house is driving me crazy, and the fact that I lock my bedroom while I sleep out of fear for safety from my roomates is rediculous. So the question, what is the fastest legal way I can get rid of these two slobs? There is no signed lease, and no verbal agreements beyond the cost of monthly rent. It was one of the good ole' ''your my buddy, we don't need a lease'' mistakes. Thank you

Give them a 30-day notice to vacate the premises (assuming they are current on rent). If delinquent, you can give them a 3-day notice. If they fail to leave, then evict them using the justice of the peace's office. They should have the forms and can help you.
