Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Fire in a Commercial Lease

Is there a way to end my lease after an accidental fire at my place of business. I have 10 months remaining on my lease, have been in same location with same landlord for 10 years and am nearing retirement age and do not wish to incur the expense of rebuilding.

It will depend on your lease. If your lease does not cover the current facts, then an attorney could research this and give you an answer you can rely upon under possible treats of litigation from your landlord.
