Foreclosure and divorce
My son was divorced and the ex was given the house. His name is still on the loan. She is now three months behind and there is a threat of foreclosure. What does he need to do to have his named removed from the loan?

He really can't get his name off of the loan without the lender's consent, however, he can possibly make the back payments, foreclose on his ex, and take the house back before the lender forecloses. It will take a good real estate lawyer to help him out. Best of luck.
