Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

foreclosure-boat dock

When purchased home, there was a boat dock on the property. Home went into foreclosure and lost, can I still sell the boat dock when I did not pay off the loan? Since was part of the loan? Or is it personal property?

Re: foreclosure-boat dock

You would want to check the deed and see if the dock was part of the deed. It also depends on how firm the structure is (moveable or fixed dock) and how much is on the land.

You should take your deed and other information to a real property lawyer, because this will be case specific.
