Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
My friend put a car in his name for me since my credit was bad, and before I make the first $400 car payment I want to make sure that a month, or 2 years down the road he can't take it back. How would I make sure that legally he couldn't?

You have a problem.
The car belongs to whoever it is titled to -- therefore it belongs to him.
So if you make all the payments & he refuses to then hand the title over to you later - you have no recourse. It is his car. You just got to drive it. You got the benefit of driving his car.
Sorry!
