Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Our friend is selling a house. She did disclose to us that the water heater leaked and flooded parts of the house. The house needed new carpet, dry wall, trim, & paint. The house was also mold remediated. Once we purchase the house & then decide in a few years to sell would we have to disclose that the house had been mold remediated before we bought it? Also since the house had these issues does it lower the value of the house?

Friend is selling you, the friend, a house? and yes you have to disclose as the friend disclosed suchproblems...and as to the value of the house..that is a common sense, not a legal, question, right?..
