Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
I was gifted a house with an oral agreement from the owner no papers were brought up just good faith. Then later I was told by the owner that I had to move out or be avicted.

First, an oral agreement for the purchase or sale of real property is not enforceable in Texas. If this agreement was for the sale or purchase of this home you cannot do anything about it. However, if you have lived there for any amount of time you can be considered a month-to-month tenant which means that the owner has to give you 30 days notice to move out, but he can make you move. If you paid him any amount of funds worth hiring an attorney I would do that in this case just to make sure that you don't have some kind of claim against this owner. Otherwise, chalk it up to experience and Never again do any kind of real estate transaction (sale or lease) without a written document of some kind.
