Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
my great uncle (Bert) willed all his property to my Father. The problem is Bert and his brother Ike had
sold the property several time between themselves, and the property was in Ike's name when he died. Ike willed all his property to Bert. The will was never probated. Therefaore Bert's will was never probated. Mom and Dad have been paying the taxes on the property for the las 7 years since the death of Bert. The Taxing enity acknowledges Dad as the legal owner. Can we do a quit claim deed on this property?
Thank You

I don't think that's going to work. You'll either need to probate the wills as muniments of title, or do affidavits to clear title and then deed out.
