Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Hello,

I am a resident of West Virginia, but I am considering relocating to Texas. From what I've found, the land is beautiful and fairly inexpensive in comparison to WV. My question is in regard to firearm use on personal property.

I came from Virginia, a state where, in rural areas, one could simply load a rifle and go shoot in their backyard for recreational purposes. What are the laws, or where I could I find them, that relate to the discharge of a firearm on personal property in Texas (for recreational purposes), namely Hudspeth County or surrounding areas?

Thank you for your time.

It depends on whether you plan to relocate in an incorporated area. Call the local county sheriff and they can answer your questions. I am sure they will be glad to be of assistance and are very accessible.
