if a mother and daughter jointly own a home and the mother dies,

does the mother's interest in the home go to the daughter or the remaining heirs?if she wants it to go to the daughter, how can she assure that happens?

There are three ways. When the mother and daughter take title, they use a survivorship deed. Or, the mother can devise her share of the property to the daughter in a will. Or, the property can be put in a trust for the benefit of the daughter.
