Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
house deeds
I am on the deed to a house in texas. It is a warrenty deed and three names are listed as the Grantee's. My ex partner and her father are the other two names on the deed. The sum of one hundred thousand dollars was put down on the house. All of the money was given by my expartners father. My share of the house was gifted to me in case something happened to my partner. Now of course there is discussion wether or not it was gifted to me, but as it stands my name is still on the document. I would like to know what my rights are and if I do indeed have ownership even if they contest it was gifted to me.

Re: house deeds
You're on the deed and that counts for something. They could raise issues relating to the gift and why it was gifted. We can give you a legal opinion with more facts for a reasonable fee.
