Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

In Houston Texas, I put a golf ball through a residential bathroom window on a local golf course. I never heard glass break but the owner tracked me down a couple holes later. He had the window fixed for $185.00. Am I liable for that window?

I think the right thing to do would be to pay for the window. It seems to be more than a coincidence that he tracked you down right after the incident.

You might check with the club and see if there's a policy about paying for windows. Maybe these homeowners have assumed part of the risk by buying a home right on the golf course.
