Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

My husband and I purchased a house last September in Deer Park Texas. The loan is in his name, but the deed is in both of our names. If he wants to sell the house will I get half of the sale amount. And don't I have to sign the documents for any sale to occur?

You will be required to sign if the property is your homestead. On the proceeds, it depends on the source of funds and whether or not there was an increase in value. If you are having marital problems, it is best to consult with a family lawyer as to the allocation of assets.
