inherited land & mineral rights

we have been offered a sum of

money for a lease on mineral rights&

land, we inherited. the lad is

rightfully ours and need to know how

to get into our name. the co.

wanting to aquire the mineral rights

to lease does not cooperate. how do

we start a search? hill county, tx.

Chances are that they are offering a pittance of the true worth. For example, I receive about $250 per month on one lease and was recently offered about $2,000. Let's see, $250 per month for a long time..... You do the math. You will probably need to file an affidavit of heirship to provide notice of your ownership. It will require research on the specifics of your family. There are Landmen out there who can research your title and advise you of your ownership. Or call an attorney.
